£20 Million To Transform Boscombe

I have some fantastic news! The Labour Government is giving Boscombe £2 million a year for the next 10 years after I made the case for this investment. This includes an area of East Cliff and Springbourne. I want to hear your views on how the money is spent and invite you to a meeting in the coming weeks.

£20 million will make a huge difference to our area—and you’ll be in the driving seat, deciding how it’s spent.

I’m proud to be Boscombe. I put my office on our high street.

We’ve just secured millions from the Labour Government to finally make Pokesdown step-free after BCP cut their funding. And we’ve secured £2.5m from the Labour Government to bring back Sure Start back to Boscombe to give children what they need.

To get the ball rolling, I’m asking you to fill in a short survey. Many of you voted for change. Now we have serious money, and your voice and views will be critically important to bring change to Boscombe. Here are the ideas we’ve already received:

Fixing playgrounds and adding equipment that’s fun and accessible
Opening libraries and services for longer
Supporting older kids with youth groups and things to do
Installing CCTV, improving security, and having visible police patrols
Cleaning up fly-tipping and messy front gardens
Repainting our historic streetlights and cleaning up dirty signs
Making pavement safer
